I needed to head to N. KC (which is ironically South of the part of Kansas City I live in) to get some supplies from the tobacco store on Armour Rd - and I knew there were a few caches in the area - I also knew I'd be making the trip alone, which allows me some time to do some hunting, but not a lot.

Found really easily - looked around a bit - and replaced the cache.... well, no, of course it wasn't that easy. I knew it was going to be a really easy cache, so I just wandered away from the car with no pen DUH... so, took the whole cache back to the car and just took my time. Signed the log, left a MO Hawthorne coin, and walked back over and put the cache back where I had found it. -- Although, I just realized I dated the log the wrong date (9/28/07).
Drove down to Avondale (near N. KC Hospital - have never really explored this area of town, kinda cute. Scoped out a couple more caches (Rock Creek - GCG2CW and the KCCC & STJ Interurban - Avondale Bridge - GCY0K8), but felt it better to leave them for another day as time was already ticking and I needed to get to the grocery store.

Perfect Sunday for Caching
Trio of Fore (by Cytex) – GC12NY5
Had a grand plan for the day - mapped out several caches I thought would be easy enough on this beautiful day to reach another mini-milestone (70) - and then was tempted to try a few more Cytex caches (silly, silly girl). Came here first today - found Stage 1 with no trouble (thinking to myself, 'see, this won't be so bad after all - you're getting the hang of these Cytex caches') - then on to Stage 2 ... wandered in about a 10ft square area for almost an hour, and found nothing... nothing I tell you... and thus, my Cytex GeoTorture curse returns.

Second attempt on a beautiful day - probably not a good choice on a day when there's an outdoor Art Festival blocking a majority of the interior streets - and bringing THOUSANDS of people (muggles) into the mix. I tried to be stealthy looking for stage one, but there was some creepy guy staring at me... so I abandoned... and thought I might find stage 2 just by the clue, but didn't spot anything on the sly. Failure 2 of the day.

Perhaps I was in the mood for some serious Cytex torture today, or I'm just becoming delusional (believe me, vote for the latter half of that statement) - but the car took a wrong turn and led be back out to this one today. I arrived with a renewed vigor, and decided I was staying to find this one or else... or else... or else I'm camping out here until the next cacher comes along, then I'm hiding to see where they find it... there is no pride loss here, really. BUT - the Geo Stars were aligned for me - I walked right up, found it, logged it, and walked away, as though I hadn't spent long tedius visits here before.

Find #2 of the day - phew, ok... I'm hitting at 50%... acceptable for me. Pretty fountain - couldn't get a good pic (camera on my phone not cooperating in this light). I truly do enjoy these fountain caches - it's a water thing with me :) TN - L MO Hawthorne Micro Coin & itty bitty Ladybug.
