It's Friday - Let's Go Caching!

Ok, another fantastic beautiful Spring day - and GiraffeGirl and I head out after work to work on one of larry739's letterbox series of caches. The really cool thing about the letterbox cache hybrids is the unique story and the rubber stamps that go along with them. We arrived at what appeared to be a good starting point, and parked near the entrance to the walking trail on a cul-de-sac. The Indian Creek Trail Letterbox series is very entertaining, and the trail that it follows is absolutely beautiful. First stop in the story, and on the trail from where we entered was Arrow (GCRT0G) where I took a purple duckie and left a Sprint disco ball keychain. Now, in true lindathome and GiraffeGirl fashion, we walked right past GOHAN #1 (GCRQT8) on the way to the second stop on the letterbox story - and we didn't even realize it until we were home logging our finds. Second stop in the story was TOM TOM (GCRTGM) where I snapped a picture of GiraffeGirl and took the Battle Blue Ascender BBA0012 wooden coin, which we thought might be trackable, but apparently isn't. I left another Sprint Disco Ball Keychain and the Coo Coo for Caching Geocoin (TB1TMNB). The third stop in the story led us to MOCCASIN (GCRTT7) which is VERY cleverly hidden in a GINORMOUS tree. I can honestly say I don't think I have ever personally been that close to a tree of that height and girth. I don't recall if I took or left anything there - but I do recall that one of us had to make a pitstop in the woods near here. I snapped a couple of pics, but I don't think they do this tree justice. Next stop in the story was Canoe (GCRTTA). And again - on the way to Canoe we managed to walk right past another cache - GOHAN #4 (A Short Walk) (GCXKVG). Did I mention that between the 2 of us we had 3 GPSr's with us? Last stop for us for the day was Eagle Feather (GCRTTE). The temperature was dropping, and we needed to be sure that we made it back to the car in daylight - so we left the remainder of this series and story for another time. All in all another perfect evening of caching.
