Second Sunday of Redemption

Tried to recruit some mini-cacher assistance, and got only one taker for this trip. One of my nephews, Wyatt, joined me to hunt down some caches in the Higginsville, MO area. Truthfully he wasn't hard to recruit after hearing the fun that his brother Quentin had just the week before - in fact he wanted to go find the same one to grab some goodies.... he inherited the pack-rat trait that runs in our family, so virtually ANYTHING is a treasure to him.

Cache Register (by Cache4College) - GCH27E

Found without too much difficulty. The cache was very damp and nothing was bagged. We did a little maintenance, bagged everything in ziplocs, and signed the log. What a pretty lake - I think we like this lake better than Confederate Park - certainly a nice fishing area!
T - TheCachingPlace.com pinL - 1 Kookys animal koosh pen & Red Holiday Lights geocoin (TB1DDNH)

Boomerang Bug's Home Base Cache (by Stewy) - GCHBNM

DID NOT FIND - Ok, Ok, I know - this is an easy one - except when you're just not really all that confident in your GPS skills yet - and you are desperately afraid of walking through the wrong yard, etc. Wyatt and I were going to hit this one on our way back from finding Cache Register this afternoon, and circled the block several times, even went down the alley, hoping to spy the bucket from the car for reassurance. I am almost 100% positive we were scoping the right house - but want to make a second pass (or maybe a third, or fourth, or fifth) just to be sure. I was even hoping to find a Boomerang Bug flag or hint somewhere??

Lots of firewood - do you deliver ???? :)

Second visit - and apparently no one since my last log. Gently getting my nephew (9 years old) hooked... I made him use the GPS himself to get headed in the right direction. He found it without too much trouble. Despite the pic - he really was happy!
T - Micro carL - bag of rubber gators & fishes
Thanks again!

Travel Bugs for Hire (by cjtj) - GCHWYY

2nd visit - 2nd nephew HAD to see where it was. He found it without any trouble - he's becoming an expert cacher!
He was THRILLED to find some swag more to his liking in this one (such a boy).
T - Tennessee Jed cards (not sure what his fascination was with those), Nascar schedule, Red Flashlight - he didn't mind there weren't batteries, MOHAW coin.
L - Wild Goose Chase coin (TB1G79J), Krazy Koosh animal pen, The Hawgs Travel Bug (TB18QNV)
